Future Qingshan Village: Sustainable Waste Recycling

Project description

With the support of Climate Youth Community’s Wo Tu Action Field Camp, researchers conducted a study in Qingshan Village, located in Zhejiang Province. The village has a team of six villagers who monitor and prevent littering and collect garbage from households every morning. Kitchen waste is collected every day by workers and transported by the sanitation bureau to a waste transfer station, where it is processed using solar power and turned into organic fertilizer for land cultivation, achieving sustainable waste management.
