Case name
Wo Tu (Fertile Soil) Action Field Camp
Project description
Climate Youth Community’s Wo Tu (Fertile Soil) Action Field Camp project focuses on youth, building a rural community space that engages youth in climate action, leading youth into rural communities and guiding them to conduct research and analyze rural communities' climate change experiences and responses. The program empowers youth to use their natural capacity for innovation and creativity for climate action and apply them to community-based climate action, bridging the gap between micro- and macro-perspectives on climate issues.
Project features
Through participatory social observation, the project equips youth with first-hand knowledge about climate change, giving them opportunities to understand the impact of climate change on rural development through direct experience and generate a variety of reports. The project also brings new life to the village and cheers up elderly residents whose families have migrated to the city. The project is bound to generate more awareness and support for agricultural and rural development in the long term.
