Family Food Educator Program
Project description
The Green Home is a platform that aims to cultivate a community of "Family Food Educators", and also an organic food community group buying platform. Green Home uses natural whole foods to reawaken people's connection to nature and clear a path back to a more natural way of living. By educating more family food educators, the Family Food Educator Program hopes to help more families achieve a healthy lifestyle and happiness while supporting rural revitalization and the sustainable development of the ecological agriculture movement.
Project features
Family Food Educator curriculum: Aligning with the goals of the central government's Healthy China 2030 Initiative, the Family Food Educator Program cooperates with the Capital Healthcare and Nutrition Cuisine Society to develop an exclusive family food educator training course that teaches food literacy, transforms home cooks into food educators capable of guiding their families toward healthy and sustainable diets, and drives positive social change one dinner table at a time.
Online Eco-Farm Market: To support program participants in their healthy eating journeys, Green Home established an ecommerce platform for ecological agricultural products. Products are selected according to strict standards: they must contain no meat, eggs, milk, honey, or other animal ingredients; mainly farmed using ecological and organic practices; and contain no harmful chemical additives. Based on China Organic Food Certification, the platform also introduced the SRS Green Earth Grade Certification to provide a strong endorsement for product quality.
Supporting family food educators to start their own businesses: The program encourages family food educators to sell quality-guaranteed ecological agricultural products through online community sharing and livestreaming.
Project impact
So far, Green Home have influenced more than 7,000 people to become family food educators, and have brought healthy and sustainable agricultural products to more than 200,000 families.
