Case name

JOOMA Plant-based Yogurt

Project description

Established in 2019, NOIX Foods is mainly engaged in the research and development of healthy plant-based foods and has already launched its JOOMA almond- and coconut-based yogurt  products. JOOMA advocates a positive, healthy, and independent lifestyle and attitude, and is committed to developing high-quality, sustainable, innovative, and high-end plant-based products. From the very beginning, JOOMA has strived to integrate sustainability into every stage of production, starting with using only plant-based ingredients that offer maximum nutritional benefits with minimal carbon emissions and land and water use.

Project features

Product features: (taste) JOOMA  has the most diverse flavors of plant-based yogurt in the domestic market and is the pioneer of China's almond-based plant yogurt category (the fermentation process is highly technology-intensive). JOOMA currently offers almond-based and coconut-based plant yogurts in a total of eight flavors using high-quality imported ingredients. Their packaging is 100% recyclable.

Energy saving and emissions reduction throughout the manufacturing process: JOOMA specially renovated its Tianjin factory to meet high sustainability and environmental standards.

Nutritional value: Almonds are rich in vitamin E, unsaturated fatty acids, and dietary fiber, while coconut is rich in medium chain triglycerides (MCTs). This means JOOMA's plant yogurts are richer in certain nutrients than dairy yogurt.

Problems solved: JOOMA's products meet consumer demand for high-quality plant-based yogurts suitable for lactose-intolerant children in China, a group which previously had no safe, high-quality, and dairy-free pre-packaged yogurts to choose. To date, JOOMA has served more than 7,000 parents and children nationwide.
