Project description

Zinong Eco-agriculture Development has developed a circular agricultural model that combines grain farming with duck and chicken raising. In winters, chickens and ducks can graze and live on the dormant field, resulting in natural replenishment of soil nutrients. Therefore, resources could be recycled, and crops’ dependence on chemical fertilizers could be avoided. By growing local heritage crop varieties, Zinong not only provided diverse foods and increased economic benefits for the local community, but also reduced food mileage and comprehensively solved multiple problems in the food system.
