Nourishing the Future: Building a Diverse Landscape for Sustainable Food Education Across Schools, Farms, and Businesses

Abstract

Formerly known as the "Good & Natural Food Education School", Fooducate was established in 2017. It is one of the earliest institutions in China to propose and implement the concept of natural food education, providing courses, activity solutions, and teacher training. Starting with food education, Fooducate promotes a planet health diet lifestyle with the aim to foster physical and mental growth of children and teenagers. Through food and food systems as an integrated learning context, Fooducate aims to accompany children and teenagers in interdisciplinary exploration and experiential learning. By engaging in daily life and solving real-world problems, Fooducate hopes to empower students to gain self-understanding, world knowledge, mindfulness, a sense of responsibility, and grow into happy and unique future citizens.
