Project description

Sunrise Harvest Organic Farm is an organic fruit and vegetable farm that operates under the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model. In addition to growing organic fruits and vegetables, the farm also promotes the concept of organic farming and plant-based diet to consumers through online and offline events, which makes their program highly engaging, replicable, and easy to promote.

Project features

The Meatless Monday Sustainable Food Program is a multi-faceted initiative that guides employees and CSA members to  use the Meatless Monday practice as an entry point to adopt healthier and more sustainable diets and lifestyles. Through engaging and interesting promotional strategies, the program guides participants to move from passively accepting plant-based diet to actively exploring it after experiencing the benefits.

The farm engages professional nutritionists and mentors to help community members understand the nutritional and culinary characteristics of different vegetables, giving participants a place to learn more about food and balanced meal planning.

Project impact

The project's Meatless Monday short videos  gained about 4,000 views on social media and received many likes and comments from fans. The community has held regular activities, including over 30 themed activities, that have attracted nearly 50 participants. Participants in the program have already logged nearly 500 plant-based meals on social media.
