Editor's note: Due to the first phase's experience and the opinions of the partners, the activities of the second phase made detailed improvements. The evening before the summit, we added warm-up communication. Before the meal, we added spiritual music. And volunteers in the canteen also improved its service, which made the second phase of the Good Food Summit warmer. The opening of the first day was exciting.
Warm-up communications in the evening before the summit.
The second issue was opened by Alice Takewatan's speech "Breath of Nature: Animals in Foods?" Alice Takewatan is one of the Buyi people in Hualien County, Taiwan. She is the director of the Taiwan Ethnic Cultural Industry Development Association, the head of the Taiwan Multi-cultural Art Troupe, the director of the Association for International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (cultural and creative industries), and convenor of the Association for the Joint Development of Cross-Strait Economy and Information Industry.
Alice's father is the chief of the tribe, her aunt is a wizard, and Alice is a princess who can see elves. It is hard to imagine a princess who likes to use the "mermaid" emoji and says, "I want to go shopping" during her free time of summit and keeps saying "I am a fool". After contacting her, we saw a state of living called "living in the present and enjoying ourselves." The princess shared with us her wisdom and philosophy on life growing up in the tribe, the relationship between animals and food in nature, and the ritual of offering a sacrifice to heaven in their tribe. After sharing, Alice also presented tribal gifts to guests from the Good Food Academy, delegates, and volunteers. The representatives at the scene felt that the body, mind, and soul had been baptized and nourished. Finally, the princess said, "I belong to nature. I don't own it."
"I am a child in the countryside of Taiwan. I can seize more opportunities only if I work hard and give more than others." Caiqing SONG, a mother with a 1.5-year-old vegetarian child. When she was a dancer, she did 100 sit-ups every day to perform "Jiangzhen Song”well. When she was the brand manager of FLOURISH Canteen, she said that "one person can go fast and a group of people can go further." She worked extra nine hours a day, took notes in every training and lecture to build a team that could go further. Ms. Song shared her brand management and organic vegetarian cooking experience from FLOURISH Canteen. She carefully searched for good hulled rice and spent half a year researching how to make hulled rice more delicious. This kind of craftsman spirit is of great benefit to people, because she believes that intention plus affordability leads to changing the world.

Jichen Liu , the chairman of the Universities & Colleges' Vegan Association (UCVA). The common character among the world's top five longevity villages is eating a natural vegetarian diet with little or no meat. In 2011, he went to the Mount Qomolangma base camp, Gangrinpoche, Nepal, Motuo, Daocheng Yading … On average, he walked for about 10 hours a day and was eating vegetables all the way. Today at the speech, he showed off the beautiful scenery he had seen along the way, and the whole audience was amazed by it.

Achievements
Cheng Zhiyuan, a young actor who carries out social innovation through "design." He started his career as a rural charity project and went to Parsons to study for a master's degree. In 2016, he launched "Make-a-point," an innovative design organization that explores society and commerce's common benefits. In 2017, he jointly launched "Foodture CoLab," an "R&D Laboratory" that studies how "emerging trends" affect the future of the food industry.
Starting from the unknown, he turned the problem into an opportunity by using his efforts and creativity to improve the existing food system. The questions that we focus on include how we can solve the food education problem for mothers in a fashionable and interesting way. How can we establish open channels to solve the problem of "eating healthy vegetarian food with good quality and low price" for consumers? In those three hours, four groups devoted themselves to the discussion. I hope everyone will continue to be good food actors with a creative mind.
At the salon in the evening, all the delegates were divided into two groups: the research group and the entrepreneurship group. The purpose of the heated discussion was to prepare for the final day of the grand finale forum! Please remember to pay close attention to the summary of the summit.
At the end of the day, I couldn't help showing off some delicious meals for you to try.
